As governors of the school, the board sets the direction for the school in its strategic plan and policy framework and monitors progress toward achieving our expectations.

The board is responsible for ensuring every student at the school is able to attain their highest possible standard in educational achievement; the school is an inclusive and safe place for all students and staff; the school gives effect to relevant students’ rights and gives effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The Parakai School Board is made up of a cross-section of the community and represents the school’s stakeholders.  Board members include Parent-elected Trustees, the Principal, and the Staff Trustee.
